PhD Candidate – Causal Inference & Machine Learning in Cardio-Kidney-Metabolic Diseases

Are you excited about advancing healthcare through data science, causal inference, and machine learning? As a PhD candidate, you will investigate how treatments for cardio-kidney-metabolic diseases can be personalized using cutting-edge causal prediction methods. You will work with one of the largest healthcare datasets in the world (>20 million individuals) to understand how powerful new therapies, such as GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT-2 inhibitors, can be optimized for real-world patient care.

You will join the CareMeds Lab (CArdio REnal MEtabolic Data Science), an international and multidisciplinary research group collaborating with leading institutions such as the Karolinska Institute, UCSF, and Harvard. During your PhD, you will have the opportunity to spend part of your time abroad, publish in high-impact journals, and present your work at major international conferences.
