Are you a medical doctor with a passion for improving patient care through data science? As a PhD candidate your research will focus on personalizing innovative therapies such as GLP-1 receptor agonists and SGLT-2 inhibitors for patients with cardio-kidney-metabolic diseases. In this position, you will work with large real-world healthcare data (>20 million people) and apply state-of-the-art causal methods to generate clinical insights that directly impact patient outcomes and shape future clinical guidelines.

You will join the CareMeds Lab (CArdio REnal MEtabolic Data Science), an international and multidisciplinary team that collaborates closely with leading institutions including Karolinska Institute, UCSF, and Harvard. During your PhD, you will have the opportunity to spend part of your time abroad at one of these institutions, publish in high-impact journals, and present your findings at international conferences around the world.
