Clothing and Medical Instruments
General
During a (bio)medical study in Leiden you will have to use a number of medical instruments and meet practical clothing requirements during practical sessions in the dissection room and / or the laboratory. Items can be bought from the webshop. In general, the following applies: ordered before 16:00pm, delivered the next working day!
Clothing
Medical students use a short sleeve coat during their patient contact and cutting room practicals. Biomedical science students will need a long-sleeved lab coat during their lab practicals. In the webshop, a distinction is made between different fits for men and women: in both cases we recommend ordering your normal clothing size.
Gloves can be ordered from the same webshop and are required at cutting room practicals for all (bio) medical students.
Medical Instruments
The lists below indicate for each study and per year which subjects of the bachelor the different medical instruments are needed. The reflex hammers, tuning forks, tape measures, stethoscopes, stethoscope covers and eye lamps will also be necessary in the Master for Medicine.
Engraving
Almost all instruments can be engraved with a text that you determine yourself.
