Information about studying abroad

University programs at LUMC offer the option of studying abroad. For example, third-year bachelor students can choose to follow their half minor abroad, second-year students of Biomedical Sciences have the opportunity to take part of the curriculum at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden and the various master programs at the LUMC offer opportunities for internships abroad.

If you are interested in studying abroad for a certain period of time, there are a number of factors to keep in mind. For example, permission is required from the study program and it is possible to apply for grants to pay for the trip (in part). Leiden University offers information and answers to frequently asked questions via the website. See the heading "Studying abroad". In addition, if you have any questions, you can contact Evelien Hack, the LUMC Internationalisation Coordinator, via the contact form on the Leiden University website. For short questions, Evelien Hack is available during her walk-in consultation hours on Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and on Thursday from 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
