Edukans is committed to high-quality and safe education for children and youth in countries such as Ethiopia, Uganda, Malawi and Kenya.
Hundreds of millions of children and youth do not receive good education. Classes are overcrowded, good teaching materials are lacking and teachers lack the tools to support their students properly. Edukans works closely with teachers and schools to improve the quality of education.
Since its foundation in 2002, almost 6 million children have been provided with better education. More than 300,000 young people have been trained in work that is in demand. And the didactic and pedagogical skills of almost 142,000 teachers have been improved.
This is how the organization achieves its goal:

Edukans trains teachers so that they actively involve children in the teaching material. As a result, more children succeed in school!
Edukans trains young people in work that is in demand. Young people develop skills that will help them move forward throughout their lives.

In emergency situations, Edukans offers a helping hand in setting up educational opportunities, so that children and young people continue to go to school.
