Puck

Dear reader,

Welcome to the page of the Member of External Affairs! I’m Puck, and this year I have the honor of fulfilling this wonderful role in the 112th M.F.L.S. Board. Last year, I completed my Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences, and this year I’ve taken a gap year to be part of this board!

As Member of External Affairs, I am responsible for contact with external parties that M.F.L.S. collaborates with. I am the primary contact for external organizations and am heavily involved in calling, emailing, sponsor negotiations, and drafting contracts. This way, I ensure that our Association receives significant funding so we can continue all the great activities and trips we organize! In addition to sponsorship, I also oversee several very exciting committees, such as the Career Committee, the Predoctor Committee, and the Musical Committee. Lastly, I am also much involved in promotion, together with Fei, our Member of Internal Affairs.

Besides my busy board life, I really enjoy making music or engaging with it. I love to sing and dance and also play a bit of guitar and piano. It’s no coincidence that I’m also overseeing the Musical Committee this year ;) Originally, I’m from Utrecht, but I’ve been living in Leiden for about a year and a half now with four lovely housemates.

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming year and hope you now have a better idea of who I am and what my role entails! If you have any questions about the role or about doing a board year with M.F.L.S., don’t hesitate to approach me or drop by the boardroom for a cup of tea or a chat!
