Naomi

Dear reader,

Hi! My name is Naomi, but you can also call me Nom. This year, I am the Officer of Internal Affairs of the M.F.L.S. board. I have now studied Medicine for two years, and after my board year I will continue with that. I’m originally from Noordwijk, so that’s very close by. If I’m not in Leiden, you can probably find me there on the beach or relaxing on my parents’ couch. I now live in a very nice house in Leiden and I’m enjoying the city a little more every day. I’m also a member of Forestus in the guild Miscite et Meliora, where you can usually find me on Tuesday evenings.

As Officer of Internal Affairs, I have four major responsibilities: committees, HePatho, LUMC, and promotion. I carry final responsibility for all committees and ensure that everything runs smoothly. This means that committee recruitment and committee interviews are part of my duties. Together with Senna, I take care of all promotion through our Instagram channels. I am also very involved with our student bar, HePatho. This year, together with Milos, I supervise the Bar Committee and am responsible for the maintenance of HePatho. And as the name of the position suggests, I maintain contact with all internal departments of the LUMC. I regularly chat with security, catering, and ELS to keep each other updated on everything that’s going on.

I think it’s going to be a very fun year in which I will learn a lot. Together with my seven fellow board members, we will determine the direction of the Association this year. I can’t wait to chat with all of you at a Friday afternoon drink, an M.F.L.S. party, or just in passing! Feel free to come up to me with questions or just for a bit of chit-chat—nothing is too crazy for me.
