Dear reader,

How wonderful that you’ve found your way to this spot—the page of the Treasurer! My name is Lysanne, I am 21 years old, and this year I have the honour of fulfilling the role of Treasurer of the M.F.L.S. board. For the past three years, I have studied Biomedical Sciences, where I met my first (future) fellow board member, Iris! Even though I thoroughly enjoyed my studies, I wanted to do something different for a year, and that has brought me here :). I originally come from Nieuw-Vennep, but since my second year I’ve been living in Oegstgeest with five lovely housemates. In my free time, you can often find me on or around the hockey field, behind a piano, or on the couch with a good book.

My M.F.L.S. life began in my second year, when I decided to apply for the Gala Committee ’24. Together with amazing committee members, I organised a beautiful gala in Rotterdam—and it was there that I met some of my best friends as well as my second (future) fellow board member, Naomi! After that big success, I joined the Study Trip Committee, where my wonderful new committee members and I organised an epic trip to Cyprus—an experience I look back on with great fondness. Clearly, I just couldn’t get enough of life within the M.F.L.S., because now I’m in the boardroom every day and present at (almost) every activity!

As Treasurer, I am responsible throughout the year for all financial matters of the association. I will be the one processing and reimbursing your declarations when you submit them through the website, drafting invoices, and ensuring that the association’s expenses stay neatly within budget. However, I’m not just working alone with all the numbers—I also get to supervise all committee treasurers, which means I get to work with many wonderful active members! In addition to guiding the treasurers, I also supervise several entire committees this year, namely the M.F.L.S. Band, the M.F.L.S. Orchestra, the Almanac Committee, and the Study Trip Committee :).

I’m really looking forward to everything this year will bring us as a Board and to seeing all of you at activities, in HePatho, in the hallways, or in the boardroom! If you’re ever looking for me, have a question, or just want to chat, you’ll usually find me in the back left corner of the boardroom. Please feel free to stop by—I’d love that!
