Lisette

Hi everyone!

How great that you're taking a look at this page! My name is Lisette, and I am this year's Member for Education in Biomedical Sciences and Health, Ageing and Society of the 112th M.F.L.S. board. I’m 21 years old and originally from Driebergen, but I’ve been living in Leiden for almost 3 years now in a super fun house with nine other girls! I found Leiden such a lovely city and felt right at home here. I’ve built a busy life in Leiden, with the LUMC and M.F.L.S. playing a significant role, from grabbing a toastie at HePatho to participating in committees; there was plenty to choose from. All these experiences made me feel even more at home, which is why I want to dedicate this year to this amazing student association!

I just completed my Bachelor's in Biomedical Sciences, which was certainly a busy but incredibly interesting and enjoyable study. My role fits perfectly with this. After my board year, I plan to continue with a Master's in Biomedical Sciences at the LUMC. During my studies, I was involved in the Year Representation and the Study Trip Committee, and these committees really helped me grow fond of the M.F.L.S. The Year Representation showed me how rewarding it is to contribute to education. The Study Trip Committee ultimately turned into a close-knit group of friends that I still love to see. Besides my studies, I enjoy playing hockey, piano, and reading books. I’m also always up for a creative evening, like candle making or painting glasses!

As the Member for Education in Biomedical Sciences and Health, Ageing and Society, I’m responsible for these studies. I guide the Year Representatives and participate in many meetings regarding these programs. Your opinions as students are essential for this. I’m in touch with both you and the education organizations, so feel free to approach me if you have any thoughts, compliments, or anything else to say about education.
