Linde

Dear reader,

My name is Linde, and this year I am the Education Officer for Medicine and Pharmacy on the M.F.L.S. board. I am 21 years old and I’m from Oegstgeest, a town right next to Leiden. So Leiden is definitely not unfamiliar territory for me ;), but now that I also live on my own in Leiden, it has truly become my little city! I now live in a super cosy terraced house with two other girls, and I’m having a wonderful time there. I recently completed my bachelor’s degree in Medicine within three years, which I started right after secondary school. I felt it was time to do something other than studying for a while, so here I am in the boardroom, where I’m enjoying myself tremendously!

In my first year, I already became active within the M.F.L.S., as I joined the Predoctor. That’s where my committee adventure began. I quickly realised how at home I felt and how much I enjoyed being part of the M.F.L.S., which meant you could find me more and more often at all our fun activities! In my second year, I joined the IntegraCo, and in my third year I was part of the Year Representation, where I also met my fellow board member Loes!

During my Year Representation year, my passion for education grew even further. I got a look behind the scenes, which only motivated me more to represent the opinions of students. That’s why I’m incredibly happy with my role as Education Officer for Medicine and Pharmacy! It allows me to continue representing the student perspective while gaining an even deeper understanding of our educational system. So please feel free to speak to me if you have any comments or concerns about the education, or just drop by the boardroom! I love thinking along about possibilities and enjoy staying up to date on everything. The Year Representations play a big role in that for me as well!

Besides everything I do within the M.F.L.S., I’m also a member of Forestus, where I’m part of the RB guild. I enjoy it there very much, and you’ll often see me at their activities too! I’m also a member of Augustinus, where I’ve found a lovely cordial with whom I have dinner every Monday and occasionally go for drinks. In addition, I love cooking, meeting up with friends, going to the beach, and—when I have time—being creative!
