Leiden Bio-Medical Journal

Het Leiden Bio-Medical Journal (LBMJ) lanceerde in november 2008 haar eerste editie.
De voorbereidingen voor de 3e editie zijn inmiddels in volle gang!

Het LMBJ is een blad voor en door studenten, uitgegeven door de M.F.L.S. In het LBMJ worden artikelen geplaatst van studenten Geneeskunde en Biomedische Wetenschappen. Het LBMJ creëert hiermee voor studenten de mogelijkheid om hun eerste artikel te publiceren.

Het heeft een oplage van 3500 stuks en wordt door veel studenten, docenten en (arts)-onderzoekers gelezen.

Heb jij een interessante wetenschapsstage gedaan en heb je hier een artikel voor geschreven? Of loop je co-schappen en heb je een boeiend case-report dat je graag wilt delen met je medestudenten? Of heb je voor een keuzevak een interessante review geschreven? Stuur het dan naar .

Onder alle inzendingen wordt een VVV bon van 100 euro verloot.

Let op de volgende punten voordat je een stuk instuurt:

* Het moet in het Engels geschreven zijn;

* Lever het aan in een Word document;

* Stuur figuren apart mee in .jpeg of .tiff format (min. 300 dpi), dus niet geplakt in Word;

* Vraag je supervisor om toestemming.

* De deadline is gesteld op 1 september 2010!

The M.F.L.S.has created a yearly magazine containing articles written by (bio)medical students. This magazine is called the “Leiden Bio-Medical Journal”, or LBMJ! The articles can be written as part of an internship or a literature-study during a course, or even a case-report seen in the clinic. Students from all study years can send in their article.

Goal of this magazine is to generate more publicity for the research that students are doing at the LUMC. It is also a great opportunity for students to publish their first article! First and second year-students can get inspired by the possibilities for doing research. Furthermore, teachers and supervisors will also get a copy to find names of students that have done good work. In 2010, the third edition will be published.
A VVV-voucher of 100 euros will be raffled between the received articles!

Information on the application of the articles:

* Language has to be English

* The article should be a Word-document

* Figures should not be inserted in the document, but handed in as separate pictures (.jpg or .tiff, min. 300 dpi)

* Please check with your supervisor if it is permitted to print your results! This printing of data can be a tricky business, so please check very carefully what you are allowed to put into your article! If you have doubts, you can always refer your supervisor to our email address (stated below).

* Please send in your article before the deadline of September 1st 2010!
